What to Wear in Marrakech
Marrakech is relaxed and accustomed to international visitors, but clothing that works well combines comfort, sun protection and respect for local culture. The right layers also depend heavily on the season and whether you are staying in the city or heading into the mountains.
What to wear in the Medina
Light trousers, skirts, dresses, T-shirts and shirts all work well. Clothing that covers shoulders and reaches around the knee is a practical choice for moving between neighbourhoods and cultural sites. Comfortable shoes matter because Medina streets are uneven.

Summer clothing
In hot months choose breathable fabrics, a hat, sunglasses and sun protection. Very heavy clothing can be uncomfortable, while extremely revealing clothing may feel out of place in local neighbourhoods.

Winter and evenings
